We believe in the importance of good storytelling, which is a time consuming process. It’s an art that can not be distilled in a formulaic manner. Therefore, our services are iterative, with unlimited iteration. Our clients iterate numerous times on their essays with us – some super-motivated early-starters, as many as eight to ten times. As a result of our focus on working with a few, handpicked candidates every year, we are also able to spend adequate time in one-on-one interactions with each client. Over the course of our interaction, clients speak with us or meet us for tens of hours over multiple touch points.
Our services keep evolving each year. The sampling of services below is just the tip of the iceberg. Schedule a free initial consultation today to learn about our services in detail. Contact us here. We can email our brochure on request.
The MBA applicant is judged on a variety of criteria such as Academic Qualifications, Career Progression, Community Service Involvement and Extra Curricular Involvement. We can look at these factors as they pertain to your application and analyze the results to give you a sense for how your profile stacks up compared to the typical candidates for the schools you are considering. Further, we can guide you on how you can improve your profile and position yourself better.
We have a deep understanding for what different schools look for in candidates. Owing to our database of information, we can guide you on picking a bouquet of schools that includes your dream, reach and safe schools. If you are keen on going to certain schools and are willing to wait for the same, we can guide you through enhancing your candidacy through different ways such as improving your GMAT, etc.
We analyze different facets of your life along with the events you have experienced and how they have shaped you as an individual. After going through a rigorous process of identifying the events that warrant more of a mention, we identify a storyline that best tells the story of who you are and why you should be granted admission into a top MBA program.
Your resume is the map that guides the reader of your application through your life. In that sense, it is an important indicator of your academic prowess, your leadership skills and your career progression. While you cannot change the content of the resume, through proper representation, you can make it a lot more readable, crisp and concise. We strongly recommend having a 1 page resume. Less is more. For those of you with longer resumes, we can also guide you on how you can reduce the length and bring it to 1 page without missing any crucial information.
Essays are a crucial part of your application and there is nothing like feedback from an objective person on your written content that can enable you to improvise on your essays. You can expect to receive some tough feedback on your writing as we believe it is better to be extremely honest at the expense of upsetting a customer at this stage rather than sugarcoat things and then have our customers be upset at the time of receiving admit/reject decisions from the schools.
Recommendations are an important component of the MBA application as they reflect the views of an external expert. They are also the component most outside candidates’ control. Crack The MBA not only helps candidates pick the best recommenders but also enables candidates to manage the process of securing recommendations in the best possible manner.
Once you are done applying to schools, there’s yet another step to be completed on your end i.e. the Interview. Interviews are an important component of your application and the fact that you got invited to one is usually an indicator of increased odds of success at that school. Most schools have an “invite-only” policy for interviewing. You would be surprised at the increased odds of success through some practice and guidance on this step. We can help guide you through the interview process for the specific school you have been invited to interview with and also give you mock interview practice and feedback on dressing, communication, tone, gesticulation, etc.
Sometimes, despite putting our best foot forward, we may receive that dreaded reject or ding to a school. It can be disheartening and more so if we have our sights set on a specific school. Fear not, you can learn from your ding and improve your candidacy to other schools or to the same school as a re-applicant. We can review your application packet and give you feedback on the likely reasons for rejection along with help you make a roadmap for improving your candidacy.
Frequently Asked Questions
Question: Can you write our essay so we can focus on other aspects of our application (e.g. GMAT)?
Answer: Crack The MBA is aligned with international organizations such as AIGAC and is bound by their policies, which strictly forbid writing materials for clients, as that would be against schools’ code of ethics.
Question: Can we connect on calls or would the interactions only be through email?
Answer: Our process entails connecting on calls, interaction through emails and video interviews. Our communication format is asynchronous and synchronous communication needs to be scheduled a couple of days in advance.
Question: What are your working hours?
Answer: We work from Monday to Friday (10:00 AM to 7:00 PM Indian Standard Time) and Saturday (10:00 AM to 2:00 PM Indian Standard Time). Please contact us for our current holiday schedule.
Question: Will someone make sure I adhere to timelines?
Answer: We create schedules with people once they sign up and ensure we keep our end of the bargain. However, we cannot ensure that you adhere to your end of the schedule. If you miss deliverable submissions, we would miss iterating on deliverables planned for that week.
Question: If I cannot keep to the schedule, can I transfer my engagement to the next year?
Answer: Your engagement with Crack The MBA is limited to the application cycle you sign up for and the schedule created for you. As per company policy, engagements are non-transferrable to subsequent years.
If you have a medical emergency and want to request an exception, you may write to us with your request and documentary evidence requesting a deferral prior to breaching your schedule. We will evaluate your request and paperwork. However, we cannot guarantee that such requests would be fulfilled. In cases where your request for deferral would be approved, candidates would be bound to the terms and agreements (including revised service fee) applicable for that year.
Question: If I wish to sign up, what are the next steps? How do I enroll?
Answer: Once you’ve decided to enroll, please let us know which service offering you would like to sign up for. Please share an initial list of schools you would like to apply to and align with us on your tentative list of schools. Most applicants elect to make payment through bank transfer. It can sometimes take 24-48 hours to setup payee as per RBI guidelines. You can reduce this lead time by setting up our bank account as a payee ahead of time.
